Our Beloved John E. “55” Reyes, age 70, of Austin, Texas, was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, August 17, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Salvador and Josefina Reyes. John is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Hilda Garza Reyes; his children, Veronica Sue Reyes, Melissa Lee Reyes, John Michael Reyes and his wife, Nina, and Gilda Michelle Flores and her husband, Fernando; 9 treasured grandchildren, Briana Alvarez, Alano Alvarez, Marcos Reyes, Xavier Reyes, Jenessa Reyes, Fernando Flores, Jr., Caleb J. Flores, Fernando “Nathan” Flores, and Audrina Flores; his brothers and sister, Salvador Reyes, Jr. and his wife, Anita, Sylvia Cantu, Arthur Reyes, and Alonzo Reyes and his wife, Debbie; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends. Pallbearers will be Marcos Reyes, Fernando Flores, Jr., Fernando Flores, Alano Alvarez, Salvador Reyes III, and Frank Reyes. Honorary Pallbearers will be Wilma Reyes and Steven Risher. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 19, 2016 with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Upper Cedar Creek Cemetery, Cedar Creek, Texas.
