Our beloved Augustina Arellano Hernandez, age 99, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 15, 2016. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Ben Hernandez; two sons, Ben Hernandez, Jr. and Felipe Hernandez; nine brothers and sisters; and her sons-in-law, Angel “Kiko” Rivera, Ernest Rodriguez, Sr., and Manuel “Shorty” Soriano. Mrs. Hernandez is survived by her daughters, Benita Soriano, Rosa Fabian and husband, Domingo, Tina Rivera, Mary Ugarte, Jovita Esparza and husband, Edward, Helen Rodriguez; her two beloved nephews, Manuel and Roy Arellano; her sister, Helen Thompson and husband, Richard; 29 grandchildren, 90 great grandchildren, and 56 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends. Pallbearers will be Victor Soriano, Jonathon Morales, Michael Fabian, Angel Rivera, Frank Valdez, Oscar Garza, and Ernest Rodriguez, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lilly Soriano, Louis Rodriguez, Leon Soriano, Ben Soriano, Manuel Soriano, David Soriano, Michael Rivera, Edward Esparza, and Mingo Fabian. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Monday, September 19, 2016 with a Prayer Service being held at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. A Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at the funeral home; officiated by Pastor Amando Castillo. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
