Our beloved Sophie Castillo Llanas, age 83, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, January 5, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Llanas; her parents, Jesse Castillo and Maria Z. Castillo; her brother-in-law, Ezekiel Almanza; and her niece Barbara De La Cruz.
Sophie is survived by her siblings, Susie Almanza, Jacob Castillo and wife Carmen, Rosie Marie Garcia, Hope Castillo, Benita Cooper and husband Dennis; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and very special friends, Nereida Zimic and Helen Diaz.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 8, 2017with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 6:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 9, 2017, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1206 East Ninth St., Austin, Texas. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
