Our beloved Helen Thompson, age 97, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Monday, February 6, 2017. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Maximo Arellano, Sr. and Isabra Trevino Arellano and, brothers and sisters, Tomas Arellano, Lupe Arellano, Manuel Arellano, Felipe Arellano, Pancho Arellano, Maximo Arellano, Jr., Isabel Arrendondo, Beatrice Arellano, and Augustina A. Hernandez.
Helen is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Richard Thompson; her sons Manuel Arellano and his wife, Victoria, Roy Arellano, and Eddie Walker; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Robert Arellano, Ben Soriano, Edward Esparza, Richard Thompson, Steve Arellano, and Manuel Arellano.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, February 12, 2017 with a Prayer Service, officiated by Pastor Amado Castillo, being held at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 13, 2017. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
