Our Beloved Sara Z. Rodriguez, age 91, of Austin, Texas, was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, February 26, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Julian and Juanita Zamudio; two husbands, Daniel Villarreal, Sr. in 1987 and Joe Rodriguez in 1991, and her sisters, Consuelo Carrizales, Leonor Brosig, Esperanza Hernandez, Bernabe Trevino, Maria Reza, Amparo Juarez, Victoria Longoria, and Martha Lopez, and her son-in-law, Benny Bowser. Sara is survived by her loving children Daniel (Dodie) Villarreal, Jr., Rey (Rosalinda) Villarreal, Joe (Susie) Villarreal, MaryLou (Vincent) Contreras, Gloria (Felipe) Rivera, Abel (Margaret) Villareal, Diana Bowser, Julian (Lucy) Villarreal, Grace Ehsani, Sarah (Paul) Diaz, Janie (Kelle) Villarreal, and Rudy (Marie) Villarreal. She is also survived by her great nephew, Anthony Rodriguez, that she raised as her own child; her brother, Julian (Pauline) Zamudio; her sisters, Josie Martinez, Pauline Juarez, Julia Lopez, Carolina Ruiz, and Esmeralda Cortez; 35 grandchildren, 69 great grandchildren, and 17 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends. Honored Pallbearers will be Rey Villarreal, Joe Villarreal, Abel Villareal, Julian Villarreal, Rudy Villarreal, Rey Villarreal, Jr., and Vincent Edward Contreras, Jr. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas. A Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
