Our beloved Maria Magdalena Ruiz, age 81, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Vicente Ruiz, Jr; her parents, Ernesto Alamazañ and Maria Magdalena Ramos; sons-in-law, Milo Naranjo and Andrew Vega Guzman, Jr..
Magdalena is survived by her children, Alma (Harold) Fosque, Norma Naranjo, Linda Guzman, Jose Roberto (Susan) Ruiz, Carmen Angelina “Angie” Ruiz, Pearl (Julian Castaneda) Ruiz, Maricela (Solomon Martinez) Ruiz, John Edward Ruiz, and Angelica (Guellermo) Ruiz Valle; brothers and sisters, Mary Jane Coleman, Yvonne Moreno, Mary C. Masengil, Rosendo Almazañ, Frank Almazañ, Rosie Ankrum, Pete Arthur Ramos, Yolanda Maria Lumos, Leticia Montoya, Grace Almazañ, Leo Almazañ, and Andrew Almazañ.
Pallbearers will be Jose R. Ruiz, John ruiz, John Edward Ruiz, Abel Cisneros, Anthony Naranjo, Daniel Aguilera, Isabel (Marissa) Rodriguez, and Dominick Ruiz.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, March 19, 2017 with a Prayer Service being held at 6:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. The Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 20, 2017, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
