Obituary of Arthur T. Ortegon, Sr.

Our Beloved Arthur T. Ortegon, Sr., age 62, born on December 25, 1954 in Austin, Texas  was called by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 10, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas.

Arthur was an avid fisherman who also loved hunting, baseball, football and eating but most importantly, he loved his sons and his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raul Ortegon and Lillie Trevino Ortegon; his wife of 35 years, Janie Ortegon; and his brother, Raul Ortegon, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Ortegon; sons, Arturo (Sandra) Ortegon Jr., Jacob (Stella) Ortegon, and Andrew (Elisabeth) Ortegon; brothers, Robert and Fernando Ortegon; sister, Sylvia Lopez; 3 grandchildren;  as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Mission Funeral Home – South Side. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Dolores Catholic Church followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery.
