Obituary of Helen Alcala

Our Beloved Helen Alcala, age 93, of Buda, Texas, was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 11, 2017

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ignacio and Rosa Rodriguez, her loving husband of 49 years, Pedro “Pete” Alcala; son Ernesto, Alcala; sisters: Lucia Romero, Refugia “Cuca” De Leon, and Theresa Rayos; and brother, Ignacio “Skippy” Rodriguez Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Dennis) Bradford; son, Rene (Lillie Ann) Alcala; brother, Onesimo (Annette) Rodriguez; sisters, Mary Acosta, Nora Romero, and Margaret (Abel) Villarreal; brother, Alfred (Frances) Rodriguez; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Nicholas Alcala, Joshua Alcala, Peter James Alcala, Michael John Alcala, Christopher Bradford and Michael Fallon.

Visitation will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2017 at Santa Cruz Catholic Church, 1100 Main St., Buda, Texas. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
