Obituary of Adeline Martinez Robles

Our beloved Adeline “Red” Martinez Robles, age 82, was called to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, July 15, 2017.  She passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. 

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Louis B. Robles, Sr.; her grandchildren, Andrea Marie Piña and Patrick Rene Piña; daughter-in-law, Mary Esther Robles; her parents, Santiago and Evarista Martinez; her brothers, Jesse, Jimmy, and Arthur Martinez; and her sisters, Guadalupe Pineda and Mary Carmen Canales.

Adeline was born in Austin, Texas , January 16, 1935.  Together with Louis, she raised ten children as a dedicated and loving wife and mother.  She is survived by her loving children, Anthony (Beatrice) Robles, Louis Robles II, Mary Sue (Federico) Chavez, Sylvia (Edward) Piña, Angelica (Adam) Martinez, Leonard Robles, Yolanda R. Zamora, Edward (Susan) Robles, Betty-Jo (Clifton) Neuweg, and Kristal Robles; her brothers, Raymond and Rudy Martinez; her sister, Mary Esther Celedon; 27 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Raul Gutierrez, Eloy Herrera, Jr., Leonard Robles II., Edward Piña, Jr., Sandra Martinez, Jack Robles, Thomas Torres, and Jeremy Neuweg.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Anne-Marie Robles, Stephen Robles, Joe Louis Rivera, and Marcos Razo.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Harbor Hospice for their dedicated care and comfort during our mother’s final days.  May God bless and keep each of you and your families.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, July 20, 2017 with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home – East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, Texas.  Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 21, 2017, Cristo Rey Catholic Church, Robert T. Martinez St. and 2nd St., Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
