Obituary of Louisa De Leon Mendoza

Our Beloved Louisa De Leon Mendoza, age 83, of Austin, Texas, was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday October 15, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Merced Mendoza Sr.; daughter Rachel Mendoza; son Raymond Mendoza; and brothers Phillip De Leon Jr. and Rosendo De Leon.

She is survived by her children Mary Jane Cortes, Merced Mendoza Jr., Carolina Rivera, Teresia Mendoza Mares (J.R.), Carmen Mendoza Pacheco (Hector); 26 Grandchildren; 68 Great-Grandchildren; 13 Great-Great Grandchildren; sisters Josefina Marrero, Eve Anderson and Yolanda Villarreal; Brother Gilbert De Leon.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Austin, her niece Mary Ann Marrero Smith, and Fred Blackman for all their support and service.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Raymond, Angelina, Ray, Chris, Merced, Tito, and Edward. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be B.J. and Anthony.

Mrs. Louisa De Leon Mendoza will Lie In State on Monday, October 23rd, 2017, at 3:00 p.m., with Formal Visitation beginning at 5:00p.m.,  at Mission Funeral Home – South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.   Funeral Service will begin at 10:00a.m., on Tuesday, October 24th, 2017 at Baptist Temple Church of Austin 1804 Canterbury St., Austin, Texas 78702. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
