Obituary of Luisa Ornelas Medrano

Our beloved Luisa Medrano, age 82, resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, November 12, 2017.

She is preceded in death by her parents Jose and Francisca Ornelas; brothers Jose Ornelas, Ignacio Ornelas, Domingo Ornelas, and Alfonso Ornelas.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years David S. Medrano Sr.: children David Medrano Jr.,  Mary Castillo, Irene Medrano, Angelina Rojas, Domingo Medrano, Johnny Medrano, Elaine Pardo, Albert Medrano, and Nelly Gomez; 24 Grandchildren; 34 Great Grandchildren; 5 Great-Great Grandchildren; sisters Ramona Rivera and Jane Davila; brothers George Ornelas and Gregory Ornelas; many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at 5:00 p.m., with Recitation of Holy Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 16, 2017 at the Mission Funeral Home- South Side 6204 South First Street. Graveside service will begin at 10:00 a.m., November 17, 2017 at Assumption Cemetery with interment to follow.
