Obituary of Salvador D. San Mateo

Our Beloved Salvador D. San Mateo, age 87, of Manila, Philippines, was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday November16, 2017 in Austin, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Araceli San Mateo; his parents, Jesus and Concordia San Mateo; and his siblings, Rosita Torralba, Pacifico San Mateo, Roberto San Mateo, and Felicidad Ordonez.

Salvador is survived by his loving children, Mario San Mateo, Sonia (Dodie) Soller, Carina Wood, and Christina Cowan; granddaughters, Charisse (Alex) Wilson, Cerina (Michael) Valdez, Carina Lynn (Matt) Adams; sister,Christina Medina; brother, Antonio San Mateo;  as well as numerous other loving family and friends. Salvador is also survived by Andrea Tolentino who lovingly cared for him till his last hour.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m., on Sunday, November 19, 2017, at Mission Funeral Home South – Side. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 4800 Convict Hill Rd., Austin, Texas 78749.  Interment will follow at Cook Walden Forest Oaks Memorial Park Cemetery. Services entrusted to Mission Funeral Home-South Side, 6204 South First Street; Austin, Texas 78745.
