Alfredo “Fred” T. Garcia

March 25, 1949 to December 30, 2017

Our beloved Alfredo “Fred” T. Garcia, age 68, resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, December 30, 2017.

He is preceded in death by his parents Salvador and Maria Garcia and brother Ernest T. Garcia.

He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years Dora Garcia; beloved children Melissa Garcia and husband Edward Montoya, John M. Torres, Steven L. Torres, Doris Garcia (Greg), and Laura Lara (Sergio); grandchildren Bianca Delgado, Vanessa Montoya, John Torres Jr., Isaiah Torres, Alyza Torres, Leah Torres Teagan Torres, Bo Garcia, Paige Garcia, Ryan Garcia, Bionca Lara, Michaela Lara and Kaela Lara; great-grandchildren Sophia Briseno and Bo Garcia Jr.; siblings Clyde Garcia (Sylvia), Carolyn De La Cruz, Vera Perez (Larry), and Josie Charles (Sal); many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jessie Medina Jr., Michael  De La Rosa, James De La Cruz, John Torres, Steven Torres, Sergio Lara, and Domingo Hernandez.

Visitation will be held at 5:00 p.m., with Recitation of Holy Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Mission Funeral Home-South Side 6204 South First Street.  Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Mission Funeral Home- South Side. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
