Obituary of Magdalena G. Casarez

Our beloved Magdalena G. Casarez, age 91, resident of East Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 21, 2018.

Magdalena was preceded in death by her loving husband of 21 years Gil Casarez; father Eliseo Gonzalez; and mother Romana Reyna.

She is survived by her children Melinda Beaman (Richard), Gil Casarez Jr., Joe Casarez (Virginia), Oscar Casarez, Frances Casarez (David Acosta), and Elias Casarez; her treasured grandchildren, Nathaniel, Jordan, Mica, Michael, Joe, Jr., Dakota, Joshua, Nicholas, Bryan, Randall, Lisa, Cierra, Erika, and Crystal; her precious great grandchildren, Mark, Dominic, Jonathan, Samuel, Alonzo, Michael, Jr., Maysja, Amilia, Evelyn, Issac, Noah, Shane, Arabella, and Paul; her brothers and sisters, Candido Valdez (Cueta), Henry Valdez (Linda), Juanita Arredondo, Martha Valdez, Petra Ramirez (Daniel), and Guillermina Mendez (Franklin); numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends..

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Mission Funeral Home – East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 25, 2018 Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1206 East 9^th Street.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
