Obituary of Margarito "Louis" Martinez, Jr.

Our Beloved Margarito “Louis” Martinez Jr., age 48, of Austin, Texas, was called by our Heavenly Father on Monday, February 19, 2018.

Louis enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and was a professional truck driver for over 30 years. No matter what time of the year, he enjoyed BBQ'ing and spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Aurora Moreno Martinez.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years Elaine Diaz-Martinez; his beloved children Chico Duran, Christopher Duran, Adrian Martinez, and Alyssa Martinez; his siblings Noella (Daniel) Arriaga, Aliceia Martinez and Robert Martinez; his father Margarito Sr.; grandchildren Joshua and Joslyn Diaz;  and numerous other loving family and friends. He is also survived by his beloved and loyal puppy Sadie.

The Martinez family would like to thank all of their family and friends for their continued love and support and the staff at St. David's South Austin Medical Center for the love and care they provided to us during this most difficult time.

Memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service to begin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Mission Funeral Home – South Side, 6204 South First Street;  Austin, Texas 78745. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 2, 2018 at St. Ignatius Martyr Church, 126 W. Oltorf St.; Austin, Texas 78704. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
