Obituary of Randy Lopez

Our beloved Randy Ray Lopez, age 58, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, March 4, 2018. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Rodriguez Lopez; and his sister, Norma Cerna.

Randy is survived by his beloved children, Randall Lopez, Jr., and Clarissa Lopez and his son-in-law Jacob Saldana; his precious grandchildren, Jonah and Jade Saldana; his father, Usevio Lopez; his loving siblings, Barbara Castaneda-Melton and husband Harlon, Ted Lopez and wife Mary Esther, and Yvonna Hudgins and husband Nelson; and the mother of his children, Rebecca Aleman; numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Randy loved the Cowboys; no prayer was more solemnly nor more sincerely spoken by him than “Please, God, let the Cowboys win!”

He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, March 8, 2018 with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 9, 2018, at St. Julia Catholic Church, 900 Tillery St., Austin, Texas. This will conclude services at this time.
