Our beloved wife and mother Julia S. Rodriguez, age 89, resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Friday, December 17, 1999. Survivors include: Beloved husband Carlos Rodriguez; sons, Alex Rodriguez, Lee Roy Rodriguez and wife Esther, and Carlos ?Charlie? Rodriguez; Anselma Guajardo and husband Willie, Dolores Sanchez; sister Beatrice Vargas, all of Austin, Elisa Martinez of Dallas, and Minnie Pena; brother, Pete Sanchez, all of Austin; also survived by 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents, sisters, Regina Lara, and Lupe Marciel; brothers, Antonio Sanchez, Gilbert Sanchez, and Willie Sanchez.
Family would like to express their gratitude to St. David?s Med. Ctr. Staff 4th floor staff, Dr. Smiley and Dr. John Abikhaled for their care and love given to our mother during her stay.
Recitation of rosary Sunday, 5:30pm at the Mission Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, 1pm at Cristo Rey Church. Franciscan Friars will officiate. Interment will follow in Assumption.
Serving as pallbearers are Michael Rodriguez, Martin Sanchez, Richard Sanchez, Johnny Rodriguez, Danny Robbins, and Mark Vidas.
Honorary pallbearers are Randy Ritch and Manuel Juarez.
