?I am the resurrection and the life: Whoever believes in me, through he should die, will come to life; and whoever is alive and believes in me will never die.? John 11:25 Our beloved father and grandfather Manuel Cedillo Navarro Sr., a native of Eagle Pass, TX, a longtime resident of Austin, was born June 24, 1916, and passed away February 17, 2000 at age 83. Mr. Navarro was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Catherine Espinoza Navarro. He served his country honorably in WWII and was a faithful member of Cristo Rey Catholic Church. We will remember him for all of his attributes, love, honesty, loyalty, perseverance, wisdom, faith, and his guidance. He is survived by his five children, Manuel Navarro Jr., and wife Mary Alice, Rudy and wife Sue of Mountain View, CA., Raymond and wife Dolores, Mary Ellen Garcia and husband Gabriel, and Edward Navarro; Three sisters, Guadalupe Moncevias, Rebecca Huerta and husband Frank of Chicago, IL, and Mary Macias of Crown Point, IN, all others of Austin. 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren also survive him. The family of Mr. Navarro wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude towards the staff of St. David?s Hospital and the religious orders for loving support and prayers. Recitation of rosary Sunday, 7:30pm at Mission Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, 10am at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Franciscan Friars OFM Conv. will officiate. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Mr. Navarro?s grandchildren Daniel Navarro, David Navarro, Ronald Gonzales, George Navarro, Trey Gonzales, and great-grandson, Jeremy Navarro.
