Anna Christine Rivera Obituary (1975

Our beloved Anna Christine Rivera, age 48, resident of Austin, Texas, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lorenza Zuniga; her uncles, Ramon Zuniga, Henry Rivera and Jesse Bosque; her Aunts, Augustina Pardo and Dorothy Hernandez; and her cousin, Jesse "Sonny" Davila, Jr. Anna worked for the State of Texas for over 20 years. She also had a great love for her mother and her great nephew (honorary grandson) Micah. She loved spending her free time gambling or just simply hanging out with her mother and being in the presence of her baby Micah. She cherished and loved Micah so much because he truly had her heart. She also loved hanging out and spending time with her cousin Belinda who was more like a sister to her. Anna, her mother and Belinda were like 3 peas in a pod. Her family will miss her tremendously but take comfort in knowing that she has been reunited with her mother. She leaves behind her father, Thomas Rivera; her sister, Valerie Rivera (Chris Simpson), her brother, Thomas Rivera III (Diane); her best friend, Jennifer Herndon; her nieces and nephew, Krystal and Kristiana Gonzales, Riley and Bailey Rivera, and Daniel Rivera; her great-nephew, Micah Alvarez; her boyfriend, Paul Samarripa; numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and many other loving family members and friends. Serving as pall bearers are Daniel Rivera, Rueben Herrera, David Zuniga, Paul Jr. Samarripa, Paul Matthew Samarripa and Paul Jacob Samarripa. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 15, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S 1st Street, Austin, Texas 78745. A Liturgy Service will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S 1st Street, Austin, Texas 78745. Burial to follow at Guadalupe Cemetery in Mendoza, Texas.
