Beatriz Rivera Obituary (1959 - 2025)

Beatriz Ortega was born on May 8, 1959 in Cotulla, TX and went to her eternal home in Heaven on February 11, 2025, at the age of 65, after a very long and hard-fought health battle. She was a lifelong resident to the Austin area. She is survived by her mother, Benita Ortega, sister Janie Martinez and brother-in-law Salvador Martinez, brother Jessie Ortega, sons Oscar & Adrian Perez, son Jorge Guzman, daughter Lucy Gracia, son-in-law Michael Gracia; grandchildren James, Arieana, Prisayas, and Alex Gracia; her great-grandchildren James Jr and Santiago Gracia; her nieces Victoria, Roxanne, Anna, and Annette Martinez; and nephews Salvador Jr, Antonio, and Adam Martinez, and Daniel Alcala; a number of great-nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins and extended family, as well as her beloved friends. She is proceeded in death by her father Juan Ortega, her son Robert Lee Guerra, grandmother Trinidad Rodriguez, grandfather David Rodriguez, and grandmother Luisa Gomez. A celebration of life is being held to honor Beatriz on Saturday, March 15, 2025 in Giddings, TX at 11am. The ceremony will be held at 2495 US-290, Giddings, TX 78942. We welcome all family and friends to come help celebrate her life. Her eternal resting place will be at her family’s ranch in Giddings, TX.
