Carlos G. Jimenez Obituary (1945 - 2024)

Our beloved Carlos G. Jimenez, age 78 of Austin, Texas, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, November 2, 2024. He took his last breath surrounded by family, love and praises to our sweet Lord. Carlos was a man of faith whose mantra was “Dios es Amor.” He loved to sing and sang everyday. Carlos was a man who deeply loved his family. He showed his love with his hard work. He also played hard and would take his boys to play basketball and was involved in whatever they were involved in. He even joined martial arts to be active with his son. His boys were his pride and joy! He enjoyed gardening and decorating his back yard with beautiful flowers. He loved going fishing and dancing in his youth. As he grew older, he was an avid baker and his family was able to enjoy his baked goods. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro Jimenez and Isabel Garcia. Carlos is survived by his children: David Jimenez (Brittany Tong Jimenez) and Kevin Jimenez; Grandchildren: Matthew Tong Jimenez, Johnathan Dinh, and Vincent Alexander Jimenez. He is also survived by Rosie Jimenez who provided constant loving care for him; as well as many other loving family members and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 pm., with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S 1st Street Austin, Texas 78745. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S 1st Street, Austin, Texas 78745. Burial to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
