Our beloved Diana C. Valdez, age 59, resident of Austin, was born into Eternal Life on Wednesday, March 4, 2020. She is reunited with her mother, Lilia Castro Valdez; and her sister, San Juanita Ybarra. Diana is survived by her husband, Michael Espinoza; her children, Lilia Chairez Rios, and her husband, James, and David Mendez, and his wife, Denise; her precious grandchildren, Adrian Acosta, Marcus Acosta, Nathan Acosta, Jacian Rios, Cristian Rios, Jonah Lugo, Kacey Mendez, and Diego Mendez; her treasured great-granddaughter, Lilia Rae Acosta; her father, Apolonio Valdez; her brothers, Paul Valdez, Armando Valdez, Ismael Valdez, Francisco Valdez, and Marcos Valdez; her sister, Alicia Valdez; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and many friends. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., on Monday, March 9, 2020, at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following morning, Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Julia Catholic Church, 900 Tillery Street, Austin, Texas.
