In Austin, Texas, where she lived for a many years, Jean brought her signature charm and warm-hearted spirit to the community. Having retired as a Elementary Teacher, she spent her time indulging in the simple pleasures of life and cherishing the company of her loved ones. Her life was a continuous journey of learning, growing, and loving, inspiring all who knew her. As we remember Mrs. Shay, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a woman truly loved. Jean M. Shay was preceded in death by her beloved Husband John H. Shay, Her Parents; Steven and Fanny Overstreet, and one Brother; Jack Overstreet and a Sister; Barbara Ann Pettit. Jean is survived by her cherished sons, Jeff Shay and Dennis Shay. Memorial Services for Mrs. Shay will be private.
