Loida Hisbrook Obituary (1934 - 2024)

Our beloved Loida Guerrero Hisbrook, age 90, resident of Austin, Texas, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024. Loida was born in Creedmoor, Texas on May 13, 1934. She lived a long productive life, retiring after a 20 year career with Motorola. She was a woman with a strong work ethic, high moral character and great loyalty with love to her family and friends. Loida was the foundation to her family and she will be our Angel in Heaven. She will be in a better place, Momma you're going home... She was preceded in death by her parents, Genaro Guerrero, Maria Louisa Solis and Luz Guerrero; her beloved husband, Sylvester Santana Hisbrook; siblings, Moises Guerrero Sr., Lydia Guerrero Salinas, and Elias Guerrero. Loida is survived by her children, Linda A. Hisbrook, Fredrick D. Hisbrook, and wife Susie Hisbrook, and Jerry L. Hisbrook; 7 grandchildren, 9 great- grandchildren; siblings, Orfa Guajardo, Saul Guajardo, and Eliseo Guerrero; numerous nieces and nephews, and many other loving family and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, October 1, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S 1st Street, Austin, Texas 78745. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday morning, October 2, 2024, at 11:30 a.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S 1st Street, Austin, Texas 78745. Burial to follow at Onion Creek Memorial Park Cemetery, 11610 Chapel Lane, Austin, Texas 78745.
