Pedro T. ""Pete" Valencia Obituary (2017)

Our beloved, Pedro "Pete" T. Valencia, age 89, was called to our Heavenly Father on Thursday, November 23, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Adelina Valencia; his siblings, Luz Reyna, Ernest Valencia, and Epifanio Valencia; brothers-in-law, Henry Salas, Eric Tormos, and Jose Reyna; and his sister-in-law, Mary Valencia. Pete is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Inez Soto Valencia; his children, Frank (Juanita) Valencia, Irma Linda (Jose Luiz) Rivera, Valerie (Timothy) Holt, and Joann (Earl) Alderman; his sisters, Romona Tormos and Minnie Salas; sister-in-law, Victoria Valencia; 13 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends. Honored pallbearers will be Eddie Rangel, Danny Zuniga, Bernard Rivera, Lenny Rivera, Marcus Rodriguez, and Efrain Rodriguez. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 27, 2017 at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at St. Julia Catholic Church, 900 Tillery St., Austin, Texas. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
