Our Beloved Pete A. Gomez Jr., age 84, was called to our Heavenly Father unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 11, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife Hermelinda Gomez; daughter Diana Rodriguez; brothers Ben, Lorenzo, Alex and Victor Gomez; and sister Isabel Dominguez. He is survived by his children sons Richard, Robert, David and Daniel Gomez; brothers Roy, Johnny, Frank and Joel Gomez; sister Teresa "Teri" Guzman; 15 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Mission Funeral Home - East Side located at 1615 E. Cesar Chavez, Austin, Texas 78702. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 17, 2018 at St. Julia Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
