Rufus Maciel Obituary (2021)

Our beloved Rufus Maciel, age 55, was called to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 19, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father, Rafael Soriano. Rufus is survived by his mother, Carol Dominguez; his siblings, Rose Rojas, Bertha Soriano, Rufus Soriano, Julius Dominguez, Martin Herrera, and Vincent Herrera, and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends. Pallbearers will be Martin Joseph Herrera , Jr., Isaiah Garza, Jr., Julius Dominguez, Jr., George Rudy Dominguez, Xavier Marin, Vincent Herrera, Rafael Soriano, and Ross Maciel. Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, Texas. A Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 28, 2021 also at Mission Funeral Home - East Side. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas. Services will be live-streamed to allow those unable to attend to participate.
