Zacarias Arriaga Obituary (2002)

Our beloved Father Zacarias (Jimmy) Arriaga age 83, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday January 27, 2002.Born in Buda Texas to Isabel and Luisa Arriaga, Jimmy was an excellent cook by trade but also for his family. A loving father he will be deeply missed by his entire family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mother of his Children Florinda Herrera, Wife Mary A. Arriaga, Son Manuel Arriaga and a Brother Joe Arriaga. Survivors include: Daughters; Margaret Cisneros of Dallas, Mary Garza of Austin, Rachel Ruiz and Vera Torres both of Dale, TX., Sons; Jimmy Arriaga and Gilbert Arriaga both of Austin, Sisters; Delfina Godoy, Felipa Bazan, Leocadia (Lucky) Barba all of Austin and Isabel Davis of Oregon, 1 Brother; Andy Arriaga of Austin. He is also survived by 25 Grandchildren and 24 Great-Grandchildren. Recitation of rosary 7:30pm Wednesday at the Mission Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:00am Thursday at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Franciscan Friars will officiate. Interment will follow in Austin Memorial Park Cemetery.
