Our beloved Mary G. Rodgers Hernandez, age 89, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 11, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucinda and Jesus Garcia; her husband, Salvador Hernandez, and her siblings, Fred Garcia, Albert Garcia, Gonzalo Ignacio Garcia, Andrew Garcia, Daniel Garcia, Antonia Amesqua, Rosie Montez, Angela Salinas and Cruz Garcia Fragosa.
Mary is survived by her children, Teresa Rodgers Curtis (Mike Curtis son-in-law (deceased)), Johnny Nacho Rodgers, Silvester Rodgers, Rebecca Rodgers-Williams (Harry Williams, Jr. (son-in-law)) and Elizabeth Fernandez (Niece); her step children, Bertha Hernandez, and Roy Hernandez; her grandchildren, Carlos Anthonio Rivera, Sabrina Joy Rodgers, John Sebastian Rodgers, Amanda Hope Rodgers, Alaina Rodgers Olvera, Silvester Rodgers, Jr., Tiffany Marie Rodgers, Harry Lee Williams III, and Zachary Thomas Williams; many great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many other loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Serenity Funeral Home, 6204 S 1st Street, Austin, Texas 78745.
Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest Ave, Austin, Texas 78704.
Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
