Our beloved Father, Grandfather, Brother and Friend Genaro Muniz, age 66, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday June 6, 2001. He was preceded in death by his wife of 24 years Eva Muniz.Survivors include: Daughters, Sylvia Rodriguez of Plano, Mary Bertha Ruiz, Dalia Rangel, Pamela Muniz Castilleja and Gina Marie Muniz all of Austin. Sisters, Marie Muniz, Kay Chew, Lorene Holman, and Lena Varrera all of Giddings, Lupe Redkey of Austin, Josie Kunts of New Braunfels, Gloria Guajardo of Georgetown, and Francis Silguero of Magnolia, TX., Hopie Holman of Amarillo. Brothers, Luis Muniz of Giddings, and Howard Muniz of La Grange. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 9 Great-grandchildren whom were all very special to their ?Popo?.
Rosary was held on Thursday at 7:00pm at the Mission Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday 10:00am at St. Julia Catholic Church. Msgr. Lonnie Reyes will officiate. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are John Hamrick, Luis Muniz, Howard Muniz, Fred Silguero, Ben Silguero and David Gomez.
