Obituary of Velia Perez Urrutia

Our Beloved Velia Perez Urrutia, 71, was called home by our Heavenly Father on Friday, March 2, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her parents Delfino and Virginia Perez; bother Rudolfo Perez; and sister Diana Torres.

She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years Joe Urrutia; sons Johnny Urrutia with Anita Cervantes and Honorable Brad Urrutia and wife Amber; grandchildren Adam Sheraden, Joseph Sheraden-Urrutia, Jacob Urrutia, Joshua Urrutia, Devin Billy, Charleez Billy, Domingo Cervantes, and Gabriel Cervantes; siblings Guadalupe Martinez husband Simon, Gloria Acosta husband Gilbert, Delfino Perez Jr., wife Verna, Teresa Guerrero, and Gracie Saucedo husband Tony; many loving nieces, nephews, and most all friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Sheraden, Joseph Sheraden-Urrutia, Jacob Urrtuia, Joshua Urrutia, Domingo Cervantes, and Gabriel Cervantes.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Devin Billy and Charleez Billy.

A very special thank you to West Oaks Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center and New Century Hospice for all their compassion shown towards our loved one. Words cannot express how grateful our family is for all the prayers and love from Primera Iglesia Bautista and Pastor David Smith. Thank you all so much for being by our family’s side.

Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. with Prayer Service to begin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Mission Funeral Home-South Side, 6204 South First Street, Austin, Texas 78745. Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Mission Funeral Home-South Side. Interment will follow at Onion Creek Memorial Park Cemetery. The Family has extended an invitation to everyone to please join them after the interment at VFW Post #8925 8706 FM 812 Austin, Texas 78719, for a reception in honor of Velia.
