Obituary of Anastacio Morales

Our beloved Anastacio "Esteban" Morales, age 85, lifetime resident of East Austin, was called to our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 30, 2018. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Rafaela Marquez Gandara Morales; his son, Mark Morales; his parents, Don Anchiano Morales and Doña Antonieta Morales; his grandsons, Joshua Davila, Mark Morales, Jacob Davila amd Thomas Benito Davila; step-children, Lilemae Rios, Benito M. Gandara Jr., Mauricio Gandara and Irene A. Gandara; his brothers, Juan Morales and Angel Morales; his sister, Amilia Morales, and his sons-in-law, Roy "Yankee" Lopez and Andrew "Clyde" Rodriguez.

Esteban is survived by his brother Alberto Jimenez Morales; sisters Virginia, Victoria, Genoveva, and Alberta Jimenez Morales; step-children, his family for 49 years, Janie Rivera, Minerva Lopez, Margie Rodriguez, Mary Helen Gandara, Eva Gandara, Georgia Puente and her husband, Juan, and Irene Khan; 21 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, June 3, 2018 with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 4, 2018 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 2208 E. 2nd St., Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Elgin Latin Cemetery, Ochoa St., Elgin, Texas.
