Obituary of Pete Gil Lopez

Our beloved Pete “Nene” Gil Lopez, age 88, resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 9, 2018.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Tomas Lopez and Maria Gil; and his siblings, Carrie Hernandez, Mary Calderon, Henry G. Lopez, Isabel Galvan, and Mercedes Lopez.

Pete is survived by his sister, Becky L. Bustillo; 40 nieces and nephews; numerous great nieces and nephews, other family, and many friends.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 14, 2018 at Mission Funeral Home – East Side, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St. Mass of Christian burial will begin at 11:00 a.m., the following morning, Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Sta. Julia Catholic Church, 900 Tillery St..  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
