Obituary of Dorothy V. Cruz

Our Beloved Dorothy V. Cruz, age 57 of Austin, Texas, was called by our Heavenly Father on Monday, July 9, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her parents Mauricio Vasquez and Alicia Rebelloso Vasquez; her daughter Kristen Monique Matta; and her brother Soloman Vasquez.

She is survived by her husband of 23 years Jose G. Cruz; her children Ricardo E. (Jessie) Matta, Jeremy R. Matta, and Cristan I. Cruz; grandchildren Joshua-Andrew Matta, Jackson-Alexander Matta, and Jasper-Avery Matta; siblings Frances, Mary, Annie, Maria Alicia, Teresa, Gloria, Rebecca, Carmen, Mauricio Jr., Beatrice,  and Abraham; and numerous other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Mission Funeral Home – South Side, 6204 South First Street;  Austin, Texas 78745. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
