Obituary of Janie H. Garcia

Our Beloved Janie H. Garcia, age 77, of Austin, Texas, was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, August 1, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joe M. Garcia; daughter Linda Lee Rivera, parents Francisco Hernandez and Marianna Mendoza Hernandez; brothers Manuel and Frank Hernandez; and sister Rebecca Guerrero.

She is survived by children Anthony H. Rivera, Alfred H. Rivera, Joel H. Garcia, Rudy Garcia, Ernest Garcia, and Tina Garcia; grandchildren Brandon A. Rivera, Brianna K. Garcia, Khloe L. Garcia, and Rayann Rangel; brother Guadalupe Mendoza Hernandez, sister Isabel Quintero; and numerous other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 South First Street, Austin, Texas 78745. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest, Austin, Texas 78704. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
