Obituary of Maria Rios Lopez

Our Beloved Maria Rios Lopez, age 67, of Austin, Texas, was called by our Heavenly Father on Monday, September 3, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her parents Encarnacion Rios and Margarita Rodriguez Rios; her brother Joe Rios and her sister Cathy Bastardo. Her son, Dario Martin Chavez, sadly passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018.

She is survived by her husband Santiago Lopez; children Gloria (Lucio) Chavez Jaramillo, Jo Ann Chavez, Mary E. Chavez, Victor L. Chavez, and Robert Chavez; siblings Ruben, Enrique, Tony, Jesse, Josephine, Tiburcia, and Pola;27 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and numerous other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday September 12, 2018 at Mission Funeral Home – South Side, 6204 South First Street; Austin, Texas 78745. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 13, 2018 at San Jose Catholic Church. This will conclude services.
