Obituary of Maria Balandran

Our beloved Maria Cortez Balandran, age 91, resident of Austin, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, September 15, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Candelario H. Balandran; grandson, Mack Linan III; parents, Carlos and Nicolasa Cortez; and sister, Lupe Cortez. 

She is survived by her loving daughter, Yolanda Gonzalez and her husband, Juan; grandchildren, Debbra  Baltierra and her husband, Hector, Ricky Alejo, and Gabi Alejo; great grandchildren, Tiffany Baltierra, Sophia Baltierra, Victoria Baltierra, Christian Castellon, and Joseph Castellon. In addition, Maria is survived by her sister, Margarita Rodriguez.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 18, 2018 with Recitation of the Holy Rosary to be held at 7:00 p.m., Mission Funeral Home, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
