Mr. Castro founded Castro Concrete in 1972 and has since passed the business on to his son.  He and Beatrice proudly sponsored the Austin Jokers Men's Fastpitch softball team beginning in 1961 and continued to be active supporters of men's fastpitch to the time of his passing.  He has been recognized for his constant support of the sport by being inducted into the Latin American Fastpitch Hall of Fame located in Houston, Texas and by the Austin Historical Society.

Our family would like to send our most heartfelt thanks to Dr. Andrew Alpar, Jason, Trish and Lea of True Heart Hospice for their support and genuinely caring nature during our time of need.  We would also like to recognize the wonderful care given to Mr. Castro by St. David's Medical Center South Austin.
