Obituary of Juana R. Perez

Our Beloved Juana Rodriguez Perez, age 83, of Austin, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, January 15, 2019.

Mrs. Perez loved praying every day, hand making rosaries, tamales, and decorating Christmas cookies. She was very involved in the Catholic Church. In Austin she was a Liturgy & Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Prayer Group, Legion of Mary, and rosary making group. In addition, in Freeport, she taught Baptism classes, worked in the church, and was involved in multiple church groups.  Juana also loved her walks with her daughter Magdalena her beloved Furry grandchild, Ewok. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, and friend.  She will forever be in our hearts, minds, and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 40 years Pablo G. Perez; her parents Catarino Rodriguez, and Maria Campos; twin Maria del Socorro (Socorrito) Rodriguez Campos, brother Luis I. Rodriguez Campos; sister Oralia Rodriguez Campos.

She is survived by her children Maria G. Perez, Carmen Perez and her husband Ron Ahlawat, Paul Perez and his wife Barbara, and Magdalena Ruiz and her husband Richard Ruiz; grandchildren Stephanie Perez, Emily Perez, and Ryan C. Ahlawat; siblings Yolanda Rodriguez Campos, Oscar Rodriguez Campos, Jaime Rodriguez Campos, Maria del Socorro Rodriguez de Garza, Maria Luisa Rodriguez de Garcia, Francisca L. Rodriguez de Monsivais, and numerous other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 2:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Mission Funeral Home – South Chapel located at 6204 South First Street; Austin, Texas 78745.

This will conclude services.
