Obituary of Mary Reyna Monreal

Our Beloved Mary Reyna Monreal, age 72, of Austin, Texas was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, February 28, 2019.

She was preceded in death by her parents Alfredo Reyna and Elvira Aguirre Reyna; sister Santiaga Reyna; brother Alfredo Reyna Jr.; son Pete Monreal, III; and her grandson David Castro.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years Pete Monreal, Jr.; loving children Joe B. Castro Jr., Victoria Monreal, Toby Monreal, Marcos Monreal, and Yolanda Monreal; son-in-law Jon Huerta; sisters Beatrice Reynolds and Janie Ybarra; 23 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and numerous other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Mission Funeral Home – South located at 6204 South First Street; Austin, Texas 78745. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
