Obituary of Sofia Aleman

Our beloved Sofia Aleman, age 87, resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Friday, April 12, 2002. She was preceded in death by late husband Miguel Aleman Sr.; sons Miguel Jr. and Refugio Aleman; daughter Maria Cruz Barrero.
Survivors include sons, Eloy Aleman and wife Lillian, Juan Aleman and wife Carrie, and Joe Aleman and wife Annie; daughters Sofia Deleon and husband Felipe, Paula Jaramillo, and Lupe Suniga and husband Adolph. She is also survived by 36 grandchildren, 72 great grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren.
The family expresses heartfelt thanks to granddaughter Victoria Monreal and Henry Guajardo for all the loving care received.
The family will receive friends and floral offerings Sunday after 12 p.m. Recitation of rosary Monday, 7:30pm at Our lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at Our lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Reverend Father J.C. Cain will officiate. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are grandsons, Michael Borrero, John Aleman Jr., Daniel Jaramillo, Pete Monreal, Don Michael Suniga, and Jason Aleman.
Honorary pallbearers are Adolph Suniga, Henry Guajardo, Toby Monreal, Phillip Borrero, Felipe Deleon, and Jose Zavala.
