Our beloved Santiago ?Jimmy? Diaz, age 67, resident of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Saturday May 4, 2002. He was preceded in death by his parents Antonio and Felipa H. Diaz, A Son Daniel Diaz and a Granddaughter Nancy Ann Bernal. Survivors include: Beloved Wife of 46 years; Mary C. Diaz, Daughters; Mary Ann Martinez and husband Alfredo, Sylvia Cervantes and husband Danny and a Son; Roy Diaz and Finacee Cindy Saldana all of Austin. Grandchildren; Hector Bernal, Jr., Valerie Bernal, Albert Diaz, Roy Cervantes, Lisa Cervantes and Bobby Cervantes. He is also survived by 10 Great-Grandchildren.
Recitation of rosary Tuesday 7:30pm at the Mission Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday 10:00am at San Jose Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Ernesto Elizondo and Deacon Romeo Sanchez will officiate. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Albert Diaz, Roy Cervantes, Bobby Cervantes, Danny Cervantes, Alfredo Cervantes and Tony Chavez, Sr..
