Obituary of Frank Santa Ana, Jr.

Our Beloved Frank Santa Ana Jr., of Austin, Texas, was called by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, August 20, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.

He was a musician following in his father’s footsteps. He played the accordion keyboard and guitar. He always loved to sing and perform at events for his family and friends. Also known as " The Original Taco Man " 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Santa Ana Sr. and Maria Escobar Santa Ana; his siblings: Hermalinda Gonzales, Alice Navarro, Nicolasa Navarette, Lucilla Gutierrez, Ernestina Campos, and Herlindo Joe Santa Ana.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Adelaide “Della” Santa Ana; children: Annie S. (Arthur) Estrada, Nicky Zamora, Josie S. (Mario) Sosa, Ray (Vanessa) Santa Ana, Richard (Patty) Santa Ana, Rachel Santa Ana (Ed), and Beatriz Santa Ana; 33 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. 

Pall Bearers will be Ace Estrada, Freddie Zamora, Ray Santa Ana Jr., Richard Santa Ana Jr., Jessie Barrientes, Carlos Zamora, Michael Santa Ana, and Joseph Santa Ana.

Honorary Pall Bearers will be Angel Barrientes, Arthur Estrada, Mario Sosa, Rosendo Lopez, Manuel Jesse Barrientes, and Vincent John Trujillo.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Mission Funeral Home – South Side. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 26, 2019 at San Jose Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
