Obituary of Antonio Lopez

Our beloved Antonio "Tony" Lopez, age 75, resident of Austin, Texas, was born into Eternal Life on Monday, December 23, 2019. He is reunited with his beloved wife, Frances Gaitan Lopez; his parents, Albert Morales Lopez and Petra Casarez Lopez. 

Tony met his beloved Frances at a dance and they married on November 6, 1963. They were married for 43 years. As an avid Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys fan, Tony loved to watch games with his many friends, family, and neighbors. Tony enjoyed spending time outside, barbecuing and listening to Tejano music.

He is survived by his children, Bobby Lopez, and his wife, Laura, and Donna Donley, and her husband, Lupe; his precious grandchildren, Amanda Nicole Donley, Brian Mitchel Donley, Zoe Lopez, and Kate Frances Lopez; his three great-grandchildren, Noah Donley, Ethan Donley, Natalia Donley; his sister, Mary Rivera; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends. 

Pallbearers will be Jose Martinez, Ramon Esquivel, Alfred Renteria, Jaime Gomez, Oscar Zelaya, Angel Hernandez, and Conrad Gonzales. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby Lopez, Lupe Donley, Brian Donley, Noah Donley, Ray Rivera, Ethan Donley, and Willie Jones.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, January 2, 2020, at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following morning, Friday, January 3, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., at Dolores Catholic Church, 1111 Montopolis Dr, Austin, Texas. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
