Our beloved Emily Escalante Pina, age 60, resident of Austin, was Born into Eternal Life on Saturday, April 25, 2020. She is reunited with her parents, Martin Escalante and Petra Ramirez Escalante; her sister, Isabel Bueno; and her grandson, James Ray Pina. 

Emily is survived by her children, Enes Pina, Jr., and his wife, Patricia, Auther Pina, Fernando Pina, Lydia Pina, and Stephanie Toni Alba; 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren with two more on the way; her siblings, Steve Escalante, and his wife, Nelly, Janie Escalante, Becky Escalante, Esperanza Rodriguez, Carmela Olvera, Tony Escalante, Louis Escalante, Geneva Escalante, Martine Escalante, Jr., Patsy Garcia, Connie Levine, and Judy Haros; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends. 

A Lie-In-State will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2020, beginning at 10:00 a.m., at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas. The chapel will close at 8:30 p.m... 

This will conclude services for Emily at this time. 

Coronavirus COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin

Due to the latest Coronavirus Restrictions, implemented on March 17, 2020, by the City of Austin and Travis County, visitation will be limited to 10 people in the chapel at all times. Everyone who comes to visit will also be authorized to wear a mask.
