Obituary of Anita Heredia Mireles

Our beloved Anita Heredia Mireles, age 93, was called to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 2, 2020. Anita was a caring homemaker and mother and spent many years helping neighborhood customers at El Porvenir Grocery on Santa Rita.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Guadalupe Echavarria Mireles; her parents, Eleno and Maximina Heredia; her siblings, Arturo Heredia, Elvira Heredia, and Amado Heredia, and mother and father-in-law, Jose and Maria Mireles.

Anita is survived by her son, Daniel Mireles and his wife, Susan; her siblings, Aurora Heredia and Frank Heredia, and many nieces, nephews, other loving family, and friends.

The family would like to offer a very special thank you to the following for their love and special care of Anita, Susana and Ramiro Segura, Hortensia Breest, John Mireles, Aurora Heredia, and Frank Heredia.

Pallbearers will be Tony Medel, Victor Medel, Sr., Eddie Medel, Ralph Medel, John Mireles, and Scott Butlar.

Recitation of Holy Rosary will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2020, at Mission Funeral Home, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, Texas.  Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 2208 E. 2nd St., Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, Austin, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus /  COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

Public services will NOT be held.

If you will be attending, masks are required at funeral home and church.
