Obituary of Fidel Valadez

Please share a memory of Fidel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Our beloved Fidel Valadez, age 69, was called to our Heavenly Father on Friday, May 15, 2020 in San Marcos, Texas.

He was born on April 24, 1951 in Guanajuato, Mexico and is the youngest of 11 children. Fidel was outgoing and friendly to everyone he met. He was also kind and attentive, especially to his mother.

He moved to the United States at the age of 20 to seek a more prosperous life. Throughout his life he worked in various restaurants gaining his skills as a short order cook. He united with one of his brothers to open a Mexican restaurant and later they opened a new location under a new name, Taqueria La Fonda. With shilled hard work, he and his brother made the restaurant prosper.

Throughout his life, he loved to have a great time with his family and friends. He loved to dance, drink and party. He always helped his brothers and sisters or any family member with anything they needed in life. Unfortunately, as life went on, he got sick and was put on Dialysis. He fought hard for 10 years on dialysis, always with a postitve outlook and a smile.

He was preceded in death by parents, Daniel Valadez and Toribia M. De Valadez (Mami Liva); sisters: Maria de Carmen Valadez, Pilar Mendoza (+Francisco), and Martha Villafuerte (+Juan); and brother, Isabel (+Susana) Valadez.

He is survived by his siblings: Ignacio (Porfiria) Valadez, Pedro Valadez, Gavina (+Lupe) Vasquez, Lorenzo Valadez, M. Natividad (Federico) Lambert, and Alejandra (+Juan) Lopez as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
