Obituary of Josephine R. Quinonez

Our Beloved Josephine Rodriguez Quinonez “Josie”, age 67, of Austin, Texas, was called by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 21, 2020.

Josephine was retired from AISD but her primary job was caring for her family. She was preceded in death by her parents Joe Rodriguez and Eva Macias.

Josie is survived by the father of her children, Demetrio Quinonez; her daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and John Mattei; daughter and son-in-law Janet Quinonez and Ryan Price; daughter and son-in-law, Karen Quinonez and Doug Arevalo; son, David D. Quinonez; siblings: Victor Macias, Diana Rangel, Debra Salinas, Donna Salinas; grandchildren: Ariana, Evan, Joshua, Viviana, David, and Melanie; great-granddaughter, Adelina and 1 great-grandson on the way; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Beginning at  2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 24, 2020

Public visitation will be held from 3:00 -5:00 p.m., on Sunday, May 24, 2020, at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas. Family may not be present during visitation. During this time, we ask that you observe the Social Distancing Recommendations by avoiding hand shaking or hugging, and by keeping a minimum 6-foot distance from others. In addition, guests are NOT permitted to congregate in the lobby, entry or parking lot at any time.
