Our Beloved Rose Marie Narvaez Tello, age 83, of Austin, Texas, was called by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 23, 2020.

Rosie was born on June 9, 1936 in San Antonio, Texas. At a teen dance, she met Juan E. Narvaez. They later married in their early 20’s. They relocated to Austin, where they shared 30 years and 4 children together.

Rosie worked for Travis County Human Services for 17 ½ years as a van driver. She was also a volunteer at Vista and worked for Carts. While working at Travis County, she later met and married Guadalupe Tello. They shared over 20 years together.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio Villareal and Domitila Casanova Villareal and siblings: Librado Villareal, Philip Villareal , Henry C. Villareal, Helen Villareal, Petra C. Pena, and Janie Martinez.

She is survived by her children: John Narvaez (Vondra), Gerald Narvaez (Vivian), Leticia Narvaez Vallejo, and Adrienne N. Ortega (Rusty Estrada); sister, Beatrice Valdez; 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Alan Narvaez, Ronnie Martinez, Nicolas Espino, Adrian Guerra, John Narvaez Jr., Edward Gonzales, Roy Valdez, and Rusty Estrada. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gerald, Antonio, Alexander, Aaron, Philip, Adolf, Randy, and Ryan.

Visitation, Mass, and Burial are limited in capacity.

Visitation is limited to 30 people, Recitation of the Holy Rosary limited to 60 people, Mass is limited to 60 people, and Burial is limited to 30 people

Private Visitation is being held by reservation only. Please call or text 5I2-774-2506 to reserve your time. Due to limited availability, reservations need to be confirmed by 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2020

Please be advised that ALL guests must wear some form of face covering upon entry to the funeral home.  During this time, we ask that you observe the Social Distancing Recommendations by avoiding hand shaking or hugging, and by keeping a minimum 6-foot distance from others. In addition, guests are NOT permitted to congregate in the lobby, entry or parking lot at any time. Children, elderly and those at high risk are encouraged to stay home.

Beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2020

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at San Francisco Javier Catholic Church. There is a limit of 60 People in the Church at all times and Masks are Required.

Interment will be private.
