Obituary of Tony Tijerina Hernandez
Our beloved Tony T. Hernandez, Jr., age 80, resident of Austin, Texas, was called by our Heavenly Father on June 25, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tony Sr. and Jovita Hernandez; brother Samuel Hernandez; and sister Judy Rangel.
He was a nine year Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Maryleen Hernandez, married for 46 years; his children, JoyceRuiz, and husband, Angel, Tony Hernandez, III, Raquel Rodriguez, and husband, Cesar, and Christopher Hernandez; grandchildren, Alexia, Toni, Zacrye, Miguel, Eric, Zephany, Nicolas, and Ava; one great-grandson, Jeremiah; many nieces and nephews, other family members, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following morning, Monday, July 6, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Julia Catholic Church, 900 Tillery Street, Austin, Texas.
Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
